Stephen Stotland, Ph.D., Director
Dr. Stephen Stotland is a clinical-research psychologist, specializing
in the areas of obesity and eating disorders since 1982. He received
his Ph.D. in 1989 from McGill University.
From 1995 to 2000, he was the director of the Eating Disorders and
Obesity Program at the Behavior Therapy Service, Montreal General
Hospital.
Dr. Stotland has been conducting a series of
studies on an international sample of obese patients in treatment with
primary care physicians. He has ongoing research studies of eating
bevaviour in normal weight dieters and nondieters, individuals with
eating disorders, and in the severely obese.
Dr. Stotland lectures and supervises undergraduate research on Health Psychology at McGill University.
Dr. Stotland founded PsycheSoma in 2003 and the Montreal Comprehensive Weight Management Program (montrealcomprehensive.ca) in 2006.
